The expertise and proficiency of the Central Region of Portugal in this area is well known. There is enough critical-mass and know-how here to produce a real industry of life and health. This will involve companies and several areas of knowledge in health and sciences of life, technology, natural sciences and social sciences, allowing the identification of the areas in which it is still possible to develop an R&D culture, creating value and economical opportunities. Coimbra iParque wants to become the definitive milestone in this multidisciplinary area for the Central Region of Portugal.
