Coimbra iParque has defined five areas that are considered strategic and will constitute five different clusters of companies that will become the support of an R&D culture, developed in a partnership between Universities, technical schools and research centres in the Central Region of Portugal. In this context, the goals Coimbra iParque set for itself are:
To create a privileged area for innovation and entrepreneurship, essential characteristics to create value and economic opportunities;
To promote cooperative R&D (Research & Development), linking several institutions that dedicate their work to research in the Central Region and national and international companies;
To create a more efficient technology transfer, making available a set of services and resources which make that challenge always present and push to make it happen;
To contribute to the development of the Central Region and of the country, allowing and motivating the development of its five strategic clusters.
